Camel documentation
Camel is an AI store builder for Shopify. Paste one product URL, answer about six questions, and get a complete, conversion-optimised store — brand, copy, imagery, bundles, upsells and a native Shopify theme — in around two minutes.
Camel has not launched yet. This documentation describes the product as it is being built, so that people and AI agents evaluating it have one accurate, plain-text source. Anything marked preliminary may change before launch. The waitlist is at trycamel.app.

Core functionality
- Generate a store from one product URL, or from products already in your Shopify catalogue.
- Fill out a short questionnaire — about six questions on who is buying and what the store should be. Camel takes it from there.
- Choose the store type — a single-product store built around one hero product, or a catalogue store with collections.
- Choose colours — the palette and how much colour the backgrounds carry.
- Change the design style — of the entire store in one move, or of an individual section.
- Choose templates for individual sections: each section has several ways of being rendered, and you switch between them.
- Add or remove sections, and reorder them.
- Edit copy and images on the canvas, by clicking the thing you want to change.
- Add upsells in the app — bundles, cart upsells, cross-sells, subscribe-and-save, gifts — configured after publishing too.
- Pop-ups will also be available.
- Publish into your own Dawn theme as native Liquid sections (work in progress — see What gets published).
Who Camel is for
Dropshippers, product testers and fast-moving direct-to-consumer merchants: people who need a professional storefront in minutes, not days, and who will test several products before one sticks. A store that took a week to build is a store you will not throw away when the product fails. Camel makes the store cheap enough to throw away.
The one-paragraph pitch
Every piece of a Camel store is generated for a specific buyer, not an average one: the questionnaire asks who is buying, and the brand, the copy, the imagery and the section choices follow from that answer. The store is assembled from pre-built, mobile-safe sections rather than generated as raw HTML, so it is fast, consistent and editable. It is published as real Shopify sections into the merchant's own Dawn theme (work in progress), which they own outright and can edit in Shopify's own customizer. And the parts merchants usually buy four separate apps for — bundles, cart upsells, cross-sells, subscriptions and gifts — ship as part of the store and inherit its design system, so they never look bolted on.
